About Our Multi-Tube Vortex Mixers
A multi-tube vortex mixer clamps a tube rack between two plates and vortexes every tube in the rack at once, for hands-free, high-throughput sample processing instead of mixing tubes individually.
OHAUS VXMTALB and VXMTDGB
The VXMTALB is an analog, variable-speed model running from 1200 to 2400 rpm, and a more economical option. The VXMTDGB adds a digital display and exact speed control from 500 to 2500 rpm, plus a programmable pulse mode that adjusts the pulse-on and pulse-off interval for a more vigorous mix on challenging samples. Both use a painted steel, two-piece housing, carry up to 4.5 kg, and ship with a foam rack for 50 tubes of 12 mm diameter as standard, with interchangeable racks for 10 to 29 mm tubes available separately. A post extension kit extends the tube height range from 10.2 cm up to 25.4 cm.
Biobase BK-VX2800 and BHY-2500
The Biobase BK-VX2800 is a digital model running from 300 to 2800 rpm, with a programmable timer up to 99 hours 59 minutes and adjustable pulse timing, supporting up to 5.5 kg of load. It ships with sponge tube racks including a 96-well virus sampling rack and a 50 mL centrifuge tube rack. The Biobase BHY-2500 is an analog model running from 500 to 2500 rpm, with the same timer and pulse timing ranges, and ships with a 48-well virus sampling rack, a 96-well virus sampling rack, a replaceable tray pad, and a 50 mL centrifuge tube rack.
