Ohaus Heavy Duty models split into analog (AL) and digital (DG) control, and into a standard 19-25 mm orbit or a larger 51 mm orbit for more vigorous mixing and aeration at lower rpm. Digital models add a load sensor, overload protection, RS232 connectivity, and a triple eccentric drive under the Accu-Drive system, all sharing a common accessory ecosystem of over 70 platforms, flask clamps, and racks across the range, so a lab can size up in capacity without switching accessories.
Buhler VKS 75: the floor-standing flagship
The Buhler VKS 75 A control (orbital) and VKS 75 B control (reciprocating, with a modular stroke from 36 to 80 mm) are built for the heaviest and most industrial workloads Labman carries, at 75 kg maximum load. Both are programmable, with a touch screen, 10-program storage, and a Defined Stop option for integration with robotic systems. Installation is floor-only: the unit weighs 110 kg before any platform or rack is added.
