The KM CO2-FL is an orbital shaker from Edmund Buhler built to run inside a CO2 incubator without drilling its wall. It reuses the technical base of the KM CO2 but replaces the standard cable with a 120 cm flat ribbon cable, thin enough to pass through the incubator door seal. This makes it the practical choice for labs that do not want to modify their incubator physically. Its 200 x 295 mm platform holds a 2 kg load and covers a speed range of 5 to 220 rpm in steps of 5. The belt-free direct drive gives a softer start suited to sensitive cell cultures and reduces maintenance over the shaker’s service life. Its stainless steel construction withstands the humid, corrosive environment inside a CO2 incubator. The KM CO2-FL suits routine resuspension and mixing of small-volume samples in cell culture work.

The Edmund Buhler KM CO2-FL reuses the design of the KM CO2 orbital shaker, with one key difference: its 120 cm flat connection cable passes directly through the incubator door seal.

No wall drilling is needed to install the external control unit outside the incubator, which simplifies setup and keeps the incubator seal intact.

Belt-free direct drive

Like the KM CO2, the KM CO2-FL uses a direct drive with no drive belt, giving a softer start for sensitive cell cultures.

Stainless steel construction protects the unit from the humidity and corrosive atmosphere inside the CO2 incubator.

Platform and load capacity

The 200 x 295 mm platform holds a maximum load of 2 kg and runs from 5 to 220 rpm in steps of 5, with a 20 mm stroke.

Cabling and power supply
