Are you working in a Laminar Flow?
Working with a Bunsen burner inside a laminar flow cabinet can significantly disturb the airflow and compromise sterile conditions. Open flames create turbulence and heat convection, which negatively affect the laminar airflow pattern.
Our WLD-tech Bunsen burners are therefore equipped with infrared sensors or foot pedals, allowing the flame to be activated only when needed and for the shortest possible time. This reduces airflow disruption compared to traditional continuously burning Bunsen burners.
However, when working with small tools such as inoculation loops, infrared sterilizers provide a safer and more airflow-friendly alternative, as they operate without an open flame.
For larger tools such as scalpels, where infrared sterilizers are not suitable, glass bead sterilizers offer an efficient, flameless sterilization solution.
Below you will find suitable infrared sterilizers and glass bead sterilizers for safe use in laminar flow environments.
