The Edmund Buhler KM CO2 is a compact orbital shaker designed to be installed permanently inside a CO2 incubator. It agitates cell cultures in a regulated CO2 and humidity atmosphere without moving samples out of the incubator.

The unit is operated from an external control unit with an LED display, connected by a 200 cm cable, so the operator can set speed without opening the incubator door.

Belt-free direct drive

The KM CO2 uses a direct drive with no drive belt. This gives a soft start that is gentler on sensitive cell cultures, and it removes belt wear and periodic belt replacement from the maintenance picture.

Stainless steel construction protects the unit from the humidity and corrosive atmosphere inside a CO2 incubator.

Platform and load capacity

The 200 x 295 mm platform holds a maximum load of 2 kg and runs from 5 to 220 rpm in steps of 5, with a 20 mm stroke.
