The OHAUS FC5720R, part of the Frontier 5000 Multi-Pro Series, is a refrigerated multipurpose centrifuge designed for the most demanding laboratory applications. With a speed range of 200 to 20,000 rpm, reaching a maximum RCF of 38,007 × g, it delivers exceptional performance for protocols such as DNA/RNA isolation, protein purification, blood processing, and other high-speed separations.

The FC5720R features a powerful, brushless motor and a CFC-free refrigeration system that ensures accurate temperature control from –20 °C to +40 °C, with rapid pre-cooling to 4 °C in less than 10 minutes. This protects temperature-sensitive samples while enhancing workflow efficiency. Its stainless steel centrifuge chamber is corrosion-resistant, and built-in safety features include automatic rotor recognition, imbalance detection, motorized lid lock, and over-speed protection.

An intuitive backlit LCD display and rotary knob make operation simple. The unit supports 99 memory programs, 10 acceleration and 10 braking profiles, with run times from 10 seconds to 99 hours 59 minutes, or continuous mode. A Quick Spin function is also available.

The FC5720R is supplied without a rotor, allowing flexible setup with a broad selection of compatible angle and swing-out rotors. It supports sample volumes up to 4 × 200 mL, providing adaptability across a range of lab applications.
