The Ohaus SHHD4550DG uses a 51 mm orbit, larger than the 19-25 mm orbit used across most of the Heavy Duty range, for more vigorous mixing and aeration per rotation.

This makes it a fit for larger culture volumes or applications where mass transfer needs to be stronger than a mid-size orbit delivers, typically run at a correspondingly lower rpm.

Accu-Drive shaking system and triple eccentric drive

The Accu-Drive shaking system delivers speed control, accuracy, and durability, paired with a brushless DC motor and triple eccentric drive that keeps the tray flat through the entire speed range.

Speed accuracy is within 1% of the set speed above 100 rpm, and within 1 rpm below 100 rpm.
