The TiMix 5 control is the programmable version of the TiMix 5 orbital microplate shaker from Edmund Buhler. It suits labs that want to store and repeat mixing protocols across batches of microplates. Its base platform, sized for 8 microplates, holds a maximum load of 5 kg, with speed from 100 to 1400 rpm. The capacitive touch screen, glove-compatible, allows manual or programmed operation over 10 programs of 10 segments each. A special stroke is available on request, in addition to the standard 3 mm stroke. The TiMix 5 control accepts the same scalable racks as the TiMix 5, from 8 to 48 microplates, as well as accessories from the KS family. USB 2.0, RS 232, and control interfaces are available as options for remote operation.

The programmable version of the TiMix 5 microplate shaker
The Edmund Buhler TiMix 5 control reuses the mechanics of the TiMix 5 and adds a programmable touch screen to store and repeat mixing protocols.
Speed adjusts in steps of 5 or 10 rpm depending on the technical source, over the same 100 to 1400 rpm range as the non-programmable version.
Touch screen and programming
The capacitive touch screen, glove-compatible, allows manual or automatic operation over 10 programs of 10 segments each, with an audible and visual end-of-program signal.
A programmable delayed start and a log of interruptions round out the programming and traceability functions.
Standard stroke and special stroke
The standard 3 mm stroke suits most microplate protocols. A special stroke is available on request for particular requirements.
Scalable racks, from 8 to 48 microplates
The TiMix 5 control accepts the same optional racks as the TiMix 5, scaling capacity from 8 to 48 stacked microplates depending on the rack chosen.
Accessories from the KS family (Combifix KS rack, KS universal tray, TH 15 incubator hood) remain compatible with the unit.
Safety and integration options
USB 2.0, RS 232, and control interfaces (relay outputs, analog inputs/outputs) are available as options for remote operation, alongside the Safety Package and the Defined Stop option.
