The Lab Armor Beads – 8 Liters (42370-008) are the largest size available, perfect for high-capacity applications in research, clinical, and industrial laboratories. These solid metal beads deliver excellent thermal uniformity—typically ±0.25–0.75°C per inch—and work across a temperature range from -80°C to 180°C.

With built-in antimicrobial properties, Lab Armor Beads reduce the risk of contamination, helping to maintain sample integrity during heating, cooling, thawing, and incubation. They also securely hold vessels of any shape or size, including non-watertight containers, without the need for racks, floats, or weights.

Compared to traditional water baths, bead-filled baths are low-maintenance—requiring only a quick monthly wipe with 70% ethanol or isopropyl alcohol—and are more energy-efficient, using over 4× less energy at 65°C and over 2× less at 37°C.

The 8L size is ideal for large baths, high-throughput environments, or multi-user lab setups where maximum capacity and reliability are essential.
