The SM 30 C is a universal reversible shaker from Edmund Buhler, with a motion that switches between orbital and reciprocating depending on the application. It suits labs that alternate between several high-load protocols without wanting to add more instruments. Its 560 x 400 mm platform holds a maximum load of 30 kg, with a stepless speed range of 15 to 300 rpm. The stroke is 26 mm, identical to the SM 30 A in orbital mode. The unit ships without a fixation rack; the Combifix SM racks and the TH 30 incubator hood are added as needed. A programmable timer from 0 to 120 minutes, or continuous operation, covers most laboratory protocols. At full load and high speed, a set of floor-fixation rings is recommended to stabilize the unit.

The Edmund Buhler SM 30 C is built to switch between an orbital motion and a reciprocating motion depending on the protocol to run, with a maximum load of 30 kg.

This dual function avoids adding more instruments to a position where several types of high-load agitation are required.

Speed and stroke

Speed adjusts steplessly from 15 to 300 rpm, over a 26 mm stroke, identical to the SM 30 A orbital mode.

Platform and load capacity

The 560 x 400 mm platform holds a maximum load of 30 kg. The unit ships without a fixation rack, to be selected separately based on vessel format.

Rack and fixation accessories

The Combifix SM A, B, or C racks, the SM universal tray, and the 2-tier top frame allow the fixation to be matched to the protocol.

At full load and high speed, Edmund Buhler recommends fixing the unit to the floor or table with 4 PVC rings (0002 754).

Combining with the TH 30 incubator hood

The SM 30 C can take the TH 30 incubator hood, which turns the shaker into a combined shaking and temperature-controlled station, up to 50°C.
