The OHAUS FC5714 from the Frontier 5000 Multi‑Pro Series is a high-performance multipurpose centrifuge designed for universal use across research, industrial, and clinical laboratories. Built for durability and ease of use, the FC5714 features a rugged stainless-steel chamber, backlit LCD display, and intuitive control knob. Users can save up to 99 programs and configure 10 acceleration and 10 braking profiles, allowing efficient handling of routine and complex protocols. The centrifuge supports run times from 10 seconds to 99 hours or continuous operation.
While this model is supplied without a rotor, it is compatible with a wide range of options—including angle and swing-out rotors for tubes from micro-volumes up to 4 × 200 mL. Automatic rotor recognition enhances safety and simplifies setup. Additional safety features include a motorized lid lock, imbalance detection, and over-speed protection. Despite its power, the unit operates quietly at ≤63 dB(A).
