The Optika B-510POL-I is a trinocular polarizing microscope for quantitative polarized light work in both incident and transmitted light. It carries IOS LWD W-PLAN POL objectives from 5x to 50x on a round, centrable, 360 degree rotating stage. A centerable and focusable Bertrand lens with a 360 degree rotatable analyzer supports conoscopic observation, and the microscope ships with lambda, lambda/4, and quartz wedge tint plates. The incident side adds an X-LED8 polarized light source alongside the X-LED3 transmitted path. It suits mineralogy and materials laboratories that examine both opaque ore sections and transparent thin sections.

IOS LWD W-PLAN POL Objectives
The objective set covers 5x, 10x, 20x, and 50x, infinity corrected and anti-fungus treated with a 45 mm parfocal distance, giving 50x to 500x total magnification.
Incident Polarized Light with Bertrand Lens
The incident polarized light attachment includes a centerable and focusable Bertrand lens, a 360 degree rotatable analyzer, a polarizer, and centerable field and aperture diaphragms, powered by the X-LED8 source at 8 W with over 50000 hours lifetime. A beamsplitter combines the reflected and transmitted light paths.
Transmitted Light with Swing-out Polarizing Condenser
The swing-out / polarizing condenser, N.A. 0.2/0.9, works with X-LED3 illumination and full Kohler adjustment for transmitted quantitative polarized light observation.
Round Rotating Stage
The 145 mm round stage rotates a full 360 degrees, is centrable, and includes specimen clips with 0.1 mm vernier scale accuracy for precise angular positioning.
