Description
The Lab Armor Beads – 2 Liters (42370-002) are a revolutionary alternative to water in standard-depth, non-circulating laboratory baths. Designed for both heating and cooling applications, these solid metal beads deliver exceptional thermal uniformity—typically ±0.25–0.75°C per inch—and can operate across a wide temperature range from -80°C to 180°C.
In addition to their thermal performance, Lab Armor Beads provide antimicrobial protection, reducing the risk of contamination and safeguarding valuable samples. Their unique structure holds vessels securely at any angle, eliminating the need for racks, floats, or bottleneck weights.
Unlike water baths, bead-filled baths require minimal maintenance—a simple monthly wipe with 70% ethanol or isopropyl alcohol is enough. They also help laboratories save energy, using over 4× less energy at 65°C and over 2× less at 37°C compared to traditional water baths.
Ideal for warming, thawing, incubating, or chilling samples, Lab Armor Beads are compatible with most standard-depth non-circulating water baths, as well as Lab Armor Bead Baths.
