The Erlab Captair 832BF is a high-capacity filtering chemical storage cabinet for laboratories requiring safe in-room storage of chemicals without external ducting.

Erlab Captair 832BF – High-Capacity Filtering Chemical Storage Cabinet
The Erlab Captair 832BF is a ductless filtering chemical storage cabinet designed for laboratories that need secure, energy-efficient storage of large quantities of hazardous liquids directly inside the lab.
Instead of exhausting contaminated air outside the building, an integrated fan continuously draws air from the cabinet through activated carbon filters matched to the stored chemicals — capturing molecular contaminants before clean air is returned to the room. This eliminates the need for compensating HVAC airflow, prevents increased energy consumption and avoids releasing pollutants into the external environment.
Because no ducting or building works are required, the Captair 832BF is particularly suited for retrofit laboratories, rental facilities and sites where storage locations may change.
According to the datasheet, the cabinet is supplied with 10 adjustable shelves with integrated retention trays, absorbent mats and a key-locking system. Storage capacity reaches 120 × 1 L glass bottles with two internal compartments, each shelf providing 2.7 L spill retention. The corrosion-resistant steel structure is coated with anti-acid polymer and fitted with transparent chemical-resistant acrylic doors for safe visibility.
Airflow is rated at 70 m³/h with power consumption limited to 20 W, ensuring continuous protection at minimal operating cost. Carbon filter options include AS (organic vapours), BE (acid vapours), F (formaldehyde) and K (ammonia), while optional HEPA H13 particulate filtration captures powders down to 0.1 µm at 99.95 % efficiency. Filtration performance is tested according to AFNOR NF X 15-211:2009 and EN 1822, with CE marking.
Erlab’s Smart technology provides light and sound alerts, continuous filter monitoring and simplified operation, while the ESP programme supports risk analysis, certified installation and long-term performance validation. Flex filtration technology allows the cabinet to be reconfigured if chemical usage changes, protecting your investment over time.
