Biovanguard 4 Class II Biosafety Cabinet – Made in Holland
The CleanAir BioVanguard 4 biological safety cabinet with manual sash is a 1.2 metre wide Class II safety cabinet, developed for laboratories that require a compact footprint combined with maximum reliability and long service life. It is the direct successor to the CleanAir Euroflow 4, providing a seamless upgrade path for existing installations.
At the heart of the BioVanguard 4 are three high-quality German EBM-Papst EC motors, working together with a large, easily accessible prefilter. This airflow concept significantly reduces HEPA filter loading, resulting in a long HEPA filter lifetime and therefore a very low total cost of ownership over the cabinet’s lifetime.
Thanks to the use of generously dimensioned motors, airflow stability is maintained over many years. Noise levels, vibrations and energy consumption increase only very slowly as filters load — a clear advantage over cabinets using lower-powered motor systems.
The cabinet features a manual sash system, offering a robust and dependable solution with minimal mechanical components. This makes the BioVanguard 4 particularly suitable for laboratories that prioritise durability, ease of maintenance and predictable long-term operation.
All electronic systems are designed and manufactured in the Netherlands, ensuring excellent reliability, minimal downtime and long service life. CleanAir cabinets are part of the Baker Company group, combining European engineering with decades of biosafety expertise.
Maximum safety is ensured by a double-wall construction under negative pressure, preventing hazardous substances from escaping even in the unlikely event of a leak. The V-shaped front intake grille stabilises the protective air curtain and reduces sensitivity to environmental disturbances, while the sloped rear grille prevents accidental airflow blockage by the user, maintaining homogeneous downflow across the work area.
Cleaning and decontamination are simplified thanks to seamless internal surfaces, rounded corners and a front window that tilts forward, allowing fast and thorough access to the work chamber.
