Estimated delivery time: 4-6 weeks

The Neptec IE 2500 is a compact mixed-bed ion exchanger designed to produce deionized water for laboratory equipment.

The stainless-steel cartridge removes dissolved ions from tap water to produce water comparable to distilled water quality.

With a capacity of approximately 2500 liters and a maximum flow rate of 500 L/h, the IE 2500 is a reliable solution for supplying autoclaves, laboratory glassware washers and climate chambers in laboratories across the BeNeLux region.

Cost-effective deionized water solution for laboratories

The Neptec IE 2500 ion exchanger provides laboratories in the BeNeLux with a simple and economical way to produce deionized water for laboratory equipment.

  • Produces deionized water using mixed-bed ion exchange resin
  • Ideal for laboratory autoclaves, glassware washers and climate chambers
  • Low initial investment compared to reverse osmosis systems
  • No wastewater stream during operation
  • Stainless-steel pressure vessel for long lifetime

Mixed-bed ion exchanger for laboratory deionized water

The Neptec IE 2500 is a pressure-resistant ion exchanger designed to produce deionized water for laboratory applications. The cartridge is filled with high-quality mixed-bed resin that removes dissolved ions such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, chloride and sulfate from tap water.

This process produces water with a conductivity typically between 0.1 and 20 µS/cm, comparable to distilled water quality.

Ideal for laboratory equipment

Ion exchangers are commonly used to supply water to laboratory equipment that requires demineralized water but does not require the full purification spectrum of reverse osmosis systems.

Typical applications include:

  • Laboratory autoclaves and sterilizers
  • Laboratory glassware washers
  • Climate chambers and environmental test chambers
  • Water baths
  • Cooling systems and general laboratory water supply

Economical alternative to reverse osmosis

Ion exchangers are often the most economical solution when laboratories need a small to moderate quantity of deionized water and want to avoid the higher initial investment of reverse osmosis systems.

Unlike RO systems, ion exchangers operate without wastewater. However, the mixed-bed resin must be replaced or regenerated once its capacity is exhausted.

Durable stainless-steel construction

The IE 2500 cartridge is manufactured from corrosion-resistant V4A stainless steel and designed for pressures up to 10 bar. Integrated handles and a lance system make it easy to install and replace the cartridge when necessary.

The resin inside the cartridge can also be customized depending on the specific application.
