The Neptec PROTEUS EDI is a central laboratory water purification system that combines reverse osmosis and electrodeionization (EDI) to produce high-quality Type 2 laboratory water directly from tap water.
The system integrates pretreatment, reverse osmosis, EDI polishing, an 80 L storage tank and an integrated pressure booster pump inside a compact cabinet. Central Laboratory Type 2 Water System
The Neptec PROTEUS EDI is designed to produce Type 2 laboratory water from tap water using a combination of reverse osmosis and electrodeionization (EDI). This multi-stage purification process removes dissolved salts, organic contaminants, bacteria and particles from the feed water.
The integrated EDI module provides continuous final demineralization after reverse osmosis, producing consistently high-quality purified water without the need for chemical regeneration.
RO + EDI Purification Technology
In the first purification stage, reverse osmosis removes up to 99% of dissolved contaminants from the feed water. The subsequent EDI module further reduces ionic impurities, producing water with a conductivity below 0.2 µS/cm.
This purification approach ensures stable water quality suitable for a wide range of laboratory applications.
Ideal for Laboratory Dishwashers and Autoclaves
Many laboratories require purified water for glassware washers, autoclaves, climate chambers and other laboratory equipment. These instruments often require consistent water quality and sufficient supply pressure.
The PROTEUS EDI system is designed to reliably supply such equipment while providing higher purity water than standard reverse osmosis systems.
Integrated Storage Tank and Pressure Pump
The system includes an integrated 80 L pure water storage tank, ensuring that purified water is always available when required. The tank is constructed from high-quality PE and equipped with sterile ventilation and overflow protection.
An integrated booster pump with constant pressure control delivers purified water to laboratory instruments or pipe networks with stable pressure, even when multiple users are connected.
Central Laboratory Water Infrastructure
The PROTEUS EDI system is frequently installed as a central water purification unit supplying several laboratory devices or medium-consumption water distribution networks.
For laboratories located in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, Labman provides installation, commissioning, maintenance and consumable replacement services.
