The Erlab Captair 834 Smart is a high-capacity filtering chemical storage cabinet for laboratories that need safe in-room storage without ducting.
Air is continuously drawn through activated carbon and particulate filters before being recirculated to the lab.
With capacity for up to 120 × 1 L bottles, it suits solvent and acid stockrooms.
The cabinet avoids HVAC overcapacity, prevents outdoor pollution and can be installed without building modifications.

Erlab Captair 834 Smart – High-Capacity Filtering Chemical Storage Cabinet with Smart Technology
The Erlab Captair 834 Smart is a ductless filtering chemical storage cabinet engineered for laboratories requiring large-volume, energy-efficient chemical storage directly inside the workspace.
Instead of exhausting contaminated air outdoors, an integrated motor draws air through activated carbon filters configured for the stored chemicals — capturing vapours and particulates before clean air is returned to the laboratory. This design eliminates the need for compensating HVAC airflow, avoids energy losses and prevents environmental emissions.
Because no ductwork is required, the Captair 834 Smart is ideal for retrofit laboratories, rental facilities and flexible research environments.
According to the datasheet (pages 2–3), the cabinet is available in two internal configurations:
Double doors with shelves providing storage for 120 × 1 L bottles
Pull-out doors with storage trays for 100 × 1 L bottles
Both include integrated spill-retention trays, absorbent mats and a key-locking system.
Airflow reaches 220 m³/h with power consumption limited to 45 W, while filtration can be configured for gases, vapours and powders using carbon media (AS, BE+, F or K) and particulate stages such as HEPA H14 or ULPA U17. Filtration performance is certified to AFNOR NF X 15-211:2009 and EN 1822 standards.
The integrated Smart technology provides visual and acoustic alerts, continuous monitoring of filtration efficiency and ambient temperature/humidity sensors, ensuring permanent user protection. Erlab’s ESP programme delivers risk analysis, certified installation and ongoing performance validation.
