Erlab Captair 632B – Undercounter Filtering Chemical Storage Cabinet with Smart Monitoring
The Erlab Captair 632B is a ductless filtering chemical storage cabinet engineered specifically for installation under laboratory benches, offering flexible and energy-efficient storage of solvents, acids, formaldehyde, ammonia or powders directly inside the laboratory.
Instead of exhausting contaminated air outside the building, a built-in fan continuously draws air from the cabinet through activated carbon filters selected for the stored chemicals before returning purified air to the lab. This approach eliminates the need for compensating HVAC airflow, prevents increased energy consumption and avoids releasing pollutants into the external environment.
Because no ducting or building modifications are required, the Captair 632B is particularly suited for rental facilities, retrofit laboratories or sites that regularly reconfigure workspaces.
According to the datasheet, the cabinet features a single configurable filtration column that can be adapted for liquid chemicals, powders or combined storage. Carbon filtration types include AS (organic vapours), BE (acid vapours), F (formaldehyde) and K (ammonia), while optional HEPA H13 particulate filtration captures powders down to 0.1 µm with 99.95 % efficiency.
With an airflow of 11 m³/h and ultra-low power consumption of 20 W, the Captair 632B delivers continuous protection at minimal operating cost. Storage configurations allow up to 44 × 1 L bottles with sliding doors or tray systems, while the corrosion-resistant steel structure is coated with anti-acid polymer and fitted with transparent chemical-resistant acrylic doors for safe visibility.
Erlab’s filtration technology complies with the demanding AFNOR NF X 15-211:2009 standard, supported by the manufacturer’s ESP safety programme covering risk analysis, certified installation and long-term monitoring.
