Erlab Captair 632A – Bench-Top and Undercounter Filtering Chemical Storage Cabinet

The Erlab Captair 632A is a ductless filtering chemical storage cabinet engineered for laboratories that need flexible, energy-efficient storage of chemicals directly inside the lab — either on a bench or under a countertop.

Instead of exhausting air outdoors, a built-in fan continuously draws air from inside the cabinet through activated carbon filters tailored to the stored chemicals before returning purified air to the room. This avoids the need for compensating HVAC airflow, prevents increased building energy consumption and eliminates environmental pollution outside the facility.

Because no ducting is required, the Captair 632A is ideal for rental laboratories, modular research spaces or facilities where layouts change frequently.

According to the datasheet, the cabinet supports carbon filters for organic vapours (AS), acid vapours (BE), formaldehyde (F) and ammonia (K), plus optional particulate filtration using HEPA H13 (99.95 % at >0.1 µm) for powder storage. The corrosion-resistant steel body is coated with anti-acid polymer and fitted with chemical-resistant sliding acrylic doors for visibility and durability.

With an airflow of 10 m³/h and ultra-low power consumption of just 16 W, the unit provides constant protection at minimal operating cost. Typical storage capacity is about 24 × 1 L bottles on high shelves or 20 × 1 L bottles on low shelves, supplied with trays, retention basins and absorbent mats for spill control.

Erlab’s filtration technology complies with the AFNOR NF X 15-211:2009 standard, supported by their ESP programme covering risk analysis, certified installation and long-term monitoring.
