Erlab Captair 531 – Compact Filtering Chemical Storage Cabinet for Bench or Wall Installation

The Erlab Captair 531 is a ductless filtering chemical storage cabinet engineered for laboratories that require safe, flexible storage of small quantities of solvents, acids or specialty reagents without installing external exhaust ducts.

Instead of exhausting contaminated air outside the building, an internal fan draws air from the cabinet through activated carbon filters specifically selected for the stored chemicals before returning clean air to the laboratory. This eliminates the need for compensating air from the HVAC system, prevents energy losses and avoids releasing pollutants into the external environment.

Because no ductwork is required, the Captair 531 is particularly well suited for rental buildings, modular laboratories or facilities that frequently reorganise layouts.

According to the datasheet, the unit includes carbon filtration options for organic vapours (AS), acids (BE), formaldehyde (F) or ammonia (K), a corrosion-resistant electro-galvanised steel structure coated with anti-acid polymer, and transparent chemical-resistant sliding doors for clear visibility of stored containers.

With an airflow of 10 m³/h and extremely low power consumption of just 12 W, the Captair 531 offers continuous protection while keeping operating costs minimal. Typical storage capacity is approximately 72 × 20 ml bottles or 10 × 500 ml bottles, depending on container type.
