The Neptec RO alpha EDI is a central laboratory water purification system that combines reverse osmosis with continuous electrodeionization (CEDI) to produce Type 2 purified water directly from tap water.
The system is designed for laboratories, hospitals and industrial facilities that require large volumes of pure water for central distribution systems. With production capacities of 60, 180, 350 or 500 L/h, the RO alpha EDI can supply autoclaves, laboratory dishwashers, climate chambers and central laboratory pipe networks with reliable Type 2 water.

Central Type 2 Laboratory Water Production with RO and CEDI
The Neptec RO alpha EDI is a high-capacity central water purification system designed for laboratories and hospitals requiring reliable Type 2 purified water. The system combines reverse osmosis with continuous electrodeionization (CEDI), enabling the production of high-purity water directly from tap water.
While reverse osmosis removes the majority of dissolved salts and organic contaminants, the integrated CEDI module continuously removes remaining ions, producing consistent Type 2 water quality without the need for chemical regeneration.
Designed for Central Laboratory Infrastructure
The RO alpha EDI is built as a central supply system capable of feeding multiple instruments or entire laboratory areas. This makes it particularly suitable for laboratories that operate several water-consuming instruments or require purified water across complete floors or buildings.
Typical installations include central water supply systems feeding laboratory dishwashers, autoclaves, environmental chambers and water baths through dead-end or loop distribution networks.
Scalable Production Capacities
The RO alpha EDI is available in multiple production capacities to match different infrastructure requirements. Current available versions include:

All-in-One Cabinet Design
The RO alpha EDI integrates pretreatment, reverse osmosis purification, CEDI polishing and monitoring systems in a single cabinet. Optional components such as an integrated storage tank, distribution pumps and UV disinfection modules allow the system to be adapted to different laboratory infrastructures.
The standard cabinet configuration can integrate a 160 L pure water tank, providing buffer storage between water production and distribution.
Advanced Monitoring and System Control
The system is controlled via a 10-inch touchscreen interface that provides real-time monitoring of pressure, conductivity, production rate and system status. Integrated logging functions, alarm management and optional Ethernet or Modbus-TCP connectivity allow easy integration into building management systems.
German-Engineered System with BeNeLux Service Support
The RO alpha EDI is manufactured in Germany and designed for continuous professional use in laboratories and hospitals. For installations in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, Labman provides local installation support, commissioning services and preventive maintenance.
