Biovanguard 5 Class II Biosafety Cabinet – Made in Holland
The CleanAir BioVanguard 5 biological safety cabinet with electrical sash is a 1.5 metre wide Class II safety cabinet, developed for laboratories that require a larger working width combined with enhanced ergonomics, automation and long-term reliability.
At the core of the BioVanguard 5 are three powerful German EBM-Papst EC motors, working in combination with a large, easily accessible prefilter. This high-capacity airflow system significantly reduces HEPA filter loading, resulting in the longest HEPA filter lifetime available on the market. Fewer filter replacements, reduced service interventions and minimal downtime translate directly into the lowest total cost of ownership over the cabinet’s lifetime.
Thanks to the use of generously dimensioned, high-quality motors, airflow stability is maintained for many years. Noise levels, vibrations and energy consumption increase only very slowly as filters load — a clear advantage over cabinets equipped with lower-powered motor systems.
The cabinet is equipped with an electrical sash system, providing smooth, controlled movement of the front window and precise sash positioning. This improves operator ergonomics, enhances safety compliance and supports reproducible working conditions, particularly in regulated laboratory environments.
All electronic components are designed and manufactured in the Netherlands, ensuring exceptional reliability, minimal downtime and a long operational lifetime.
Maximum safety is ensured by a double-wall construction under negative pressure, preventing hazardous substances from escaping even in the unlikely event of a leak. The V-shaped front intake grille stabilises the protective air curtain and reduces sensitivity to environmental disturbances, while the sloped rear grille prevents accidental airflow blockage by the user, preserving uniform downflow across the entire work surface.
Cleaning and decontamination are simplified through seamless internal surfaces, rounded corners and a front window that tilts forward, allowing fast and thorough cleaning of the work chamber.
The CleanAir BioVanguard 5 with electrical sash is the direct successor to the CleanAir Euroflow 5, offering a seamless upgrade path with substantially improved safety, ergonomics and lifecycle cost efficiency.
