The CleanAir BioVanguard B6 is a large-format cytotoxic safety cabinet designed for safe handling of CMR and hazardous drugs in GMP pharmaceutical environments.

CleanAir BioVanguard B6 – DIN 12980 Certified Cytotoxic Safety Cabinet with Electrical Sash
The CleanAir BioVanguard B6 is a 1.80 m wide cytotoxic safety cabinet engineered for the safe manipulation of hazardous drugs, CMR substances and potent APIs in GMP pharmaceutical environments. It is TÜV Nord certified to DIN 12980 and represents the next generation successor to the Euroflow B6.
Structurally, the cabinet is based on the same advanced airflow concept as CleanAir’s Class II biological safety cabinets, but with the crucial addition of an extra HEPA filter layer located beneath the work surface. This under-worktray filter can be replaced while the cabinet remains in operation, ensuring uninterrupted workflow and maximum operator protection.
During filter replacement, the operator remains protected by the negative-pressure air curtain below the front opening. Any released particles are immediately captured by the downflow or exhaust HEPA filters, maintaining full containment throughout the process.
Air handling is driven by five oversized German EBM-Papst EC motors, combined with a large, easily accessible prefilter. This configuration delivers the longest HEPA filter lifetime on the market and therefore the lowest total cost of ownership over the cabinet’s service life. Even as filters gradually load, noise, vibration and energy consumption increase only minimally compared with systems using smaller motors.
All electronic systems are developed and manufactured in the Netherlands, resulting in outstanding reliability, minimal downtime and an exceptionally long operational lifetime.
Maximum safety is further ensured by the double-wall construction under negative pressure, preventing hazardous substances from escaping in the event of a structural leak. The V-shaped front grille stabilises the protective air curtain and reduces sensitivity to room disturbances, while the sloped rear grille prevents airflow obstruction by the operator.
Seamless internal surfaces and the forward-tilting front sash simplify cleaning and decontamination procedures between production batches.
